CEMETERY HISTORY:

Current landowner in 2006 is Charlie Murdock

Charles R. Murdock, 3040 Trail, Belton, SC 29672, 864-296-1871

Charlie's grandfather owned a sawmill near this location and he built the 
church around 1920, or before, for his colored friends to worship in.

A A372 new New Hope Baptist Church was built 2 miles south of Sayor's Crossing.  
Based on their first burial date, church construction should have been before 
Dec-1977.  As of 2006, the church is not being used and in need of repair.
